The Lexus LS 600h L Hybrid sedan for 2008 is a magnificent luxury car with the hybrid benefit as icing on the cake. Owning this car will let people know you’ve arrived in the world and care about the environment as well. It is certified as a super ultra-low emission vehicle (SULEV).

The base MSRP is $104,000. There are several premium packages you can add on that range in price from $4,000 for the Premium Package, $7,500 for the Premium Package II and $12,570 for the mind blowing Executive-Class Seating Package II.

Yes, this is the car that can park itself! All of the add-on packages include the Advanced Parking Guidance System that will parallel park you with no hands involved.

It comes with a 5.0 liter hybrid V8 engine which can produce 438 total system horsepower. The Lexus electric-drive motor is capable of high-output and helps give this car superior performance.

It has all wheel drive - AWD – to improve traction. Coupled with the variable gear-ratio steering (VGRS), this car can handle any corner you throw at it.

The braking system is the most advanced available. It includes an electronic parking brake, a brake hold feature with high-friction brake pads available. One nifty feature of the braking system is the ability to capture the heat generated from braking and recycle it into electrical power to recharge the battery.

It has the variable air suspension so you can adjust the feel of your ride to your mood – normal, comfort or sport.

If you’re looking for a hybrid car with style, power and the best hybrid engineering available, the Lexus LS 600h L is the model for you.

Rolls Royce – the Ultimate Luxury Sedan

The first luxury sedan model that pops into my head is a Rolls Royce.

They are the epitome of luxury and class. I can’t imagine anyone who owns one to drive it himself.  A Rolls and a Chauffeur go together as natural as caviar and champagne. Having said that, most owners love to drive them and wouldn’t even consider letting anyone else behind the wheel.

What’s interesting is that if you go to rollsroyce.com, you’ll see mostly info about jets. They do a lot more than make fancy cars. Their engineering ability is enormous.

One of the gadgets that I like on a Rolls is the pop-up hood ornament. Get in, crank up the motor and up pops that classic ‘Spirit of Ecstasy’ ornament – instantly recognizable. On the internet, we normally don’t much care for pop-ups, but as method to keep people from stealing hood ornaments, pop-ups are a great idea.
