Give yourself enough time to think about how good you have it?
I think in Western society, especially Americans, it is ingrained in us to be always looking and striving for more. While it is always good to aim high, I think that many of us are disappointed that we have. But let's face it, if you are on your computer, connected to the Internet wasting time on Y / A, you have pretty good compared to the billions of people on this planet. So what are you thankful? I have a house, nice clean By The Sea. I eat well, I have a car that works for me. I have a job. I have money in the bank. I have a nice family and good friends. Things could be worse, although I am not some millionaire celebrity rich with a work of power surrounded by beautiful people and luxury goods.
I am very grateful for many things. I have a good husband, good kids, good job, good friends, etc. I am fighting, I am in debt, but for some strange reason, I'm really not bothered by it. I'm just happy to be employed, because I know many people who are not. I feel almost guilty to have 2 jobs when there are many people who do not even 1 job. Overall, I feel pretty blessed!
