In some luxury cars, how is the heater capable of maintaining different temperatures on the passenger-side driver?
In some cars such as BMW and others, the passenger and the driver can set 2 different temperatures on each side. How it works? Is there a sensor on each side? Is there a virtual curtain of air between the 2 parties?
Over there is no "air curtain" and these systems will only maintain a temperature difference of about 5 degrees F. There are sensors in the footrest of both driver and passenger.
