Cadillac Ciel Concept Unveiled Today Pebble Beach Calif Auto News Luxury

September 8th, 2011

Cadillac Ciel Concept Unveiled Today Pebble Beach Calif Auto News Luxury. Official News Video provided to SBARTSTV Courtesy GM. PEBBLE BEACH, Calif. — Cadillac today unveiled the Ciel concept, an elegant, open-air grand-touring car inspired by the natural beauty of the California coast. The Ciel — pronounced “CL,” the French translation for sky — is a four-seat convertible that opens a new chapter in Cadillac’s design and product ascent, pushing the brand’s Art & Science philosophy into a new stratum. Ciel is a new expression of Cadillac’s historical grandeur, as well as a celebration of open-air motoring. “Large, expressive luxury is innate to Cadillac and the Ciel recalls that heritage, while suggesting where the brand can go in the future,” said Clay Dean, global design director for Cadillac. “Authentic luxury is driven by experiences, not just products, and Ciel is about the experience of the journey.” The spacious and elegant Ciel is a grand gesture that explores themes driving Cadillac’s explorations into range-topping flagship luxury. It is powered by a twin-turbocharged version of the 3.6-liter Direct Injection V-6 engine, paired with a hybrid system using lithium-ion battery technology.

Maserati Birdcage

June 9th, 2011

A concept super sport car. Too bad it is not for production. According to one of our viewers: “It is named after the 5 different racing “Birdcages” models in the late 50’s, early 60’s, that are all based on an intricate multi-tubular frame concept. They contained about 200 chro-moly steel tubes welded together, hence the nickname “Birdcage” This method of construction provided a more rigid and, at the same time, lighter chassis than other sports cars of the time.” — elbatemano commented on Maserati Birdcage From Science Channel’s Beyond Tomorrow TV show.Discovery Communications own the copyright of this clip from the Beyond Tomorrow TV show. Lexus SEMA 2010 tuned hybrid lineup

November 5th, 2010

Lexus has pulled the wraps off their hybrid lineup for SEMA 2010. First and foremost, the CT 200h F Sport Concept features an adjustable sport suspension, high performance brakes, and 18-inch F Sport wheels with Pirelli PZero Nero tires. While the vehicle won’t go into production, Lexus hinted “it’s just the tip of the iceberg.” If the CT 200h is a little small for your tastes, the HS 250h by VIP Auto Salon boasts an aerodynamic body kit, tinted windows, and 20-inch Work Gnosis GS4 wheels. To prove “going green doesn’t have to be boring,” the 0-60 Magazine GS 450h boasts a five-piece carbon fiber body kit, a TEIN coilover suspension, a GReddy titanium exhaust, and a rear wing the size of Texas. Inside, the stripped-out cabin features a roll cage, Sparco seats, and a racing-inspired center stack. For the LS 600h, VIP Auto Salon specified PPG ‘Hue of Macadamia’ paint, a custom air suspension, and 20-inch WALD Mahora wheels. Lastly, the RX 450h by Paul Tolson is an adventure in tuning madness. It features a Hired Gun widebody kit, 21-inch Leon Hardiritt Vertu wheels, and a ground clearance of naught.
