Oman’s top driver enjoying life in GT3 Cup fast lane

His maiden race victory in the series, during Formula 1 weekend in Abu Dhabi, was the biggest of his career. Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge Middle East 2011/2012, Rounds 5&6

Action from the spectacular Yas Marina Circuit as the Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge Middle East reaches the half way point in the 2011-12 season with the title race wide open. The series returns to Abu Dhabi for Rounds 5 and 6 with championship leader Prince Abdulaziz Al Faisal under pressure from fellow-Saudi Bandar Alesayi and Oman’s Ahmad Al Harthy, the two race winners at the same venue a month earlier. Austrian Clemens Schmid is back looking to build on his first round victory, Belgian Stephane Lemeret is chasing his first win in the series, and there’s fierce competition as well in the Michelin and Mobil 1 silver and bronze race categories. Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge Middle East 2011 Rounds 1&2

Action from Dubai Autodrome as the Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge Middle East launches its third season, giving a world competitive debut to the 2012 model Porsche GT3 Cup car. There’s excitement from the first corner as Prince Abdulaziz Al Faisal goes in search of his second GT3 Cup title, although he is under pressure from new Arab and European challengers, as well as from fellow-Saudi Bandar Alesayi who has his eye on the driver’s crown after scoring his first victory on the same track at the end of last season.
